Hi all,

I have a Lowepro slingback D300 and was looking for a smaller bag as an alternative kit carrier. My sling normally takes a 30D, 5D, 70-300, 17-85 and 50mm.

I'm looking for something to take 1 body (possibly gripped), a normal walk-about lens mounted, but with enough space to also carry a 70-300 / 70-200 f2.8 (for when I actually get round to buy it).

I was looking at the Lowepro Stealth Reporter series - does anyone with a D200 know if that kit will fit ok in the bag? Would I need a D300?

Part of my worry is that I don't want to just buy another big bag like my Sling...

Thanks for your help :)

The depth of the 200 is probably not deep enough for the two bigger lenses. The 300 is just deep enough for my 100-400, which I think is the same overall length.

I have the D200. I can carry my 30D with no lens on it, my 7D gripped with my 15-85mm with hood reversed (probably similar to your 17-85), my 430EX II, and yes, my 70-200mm f/2.8 IS I with hood reversed and tripod ring. I still have a little room left over where I can squeeze my 50mm f/1.8 or 1.4x teleconverter. It's definitely a tight fit but it works. I can carry a monopod under the front buckle flap and can fit all sorts of accessories like batteries, cleaning cloths, lens pen, etc. in the pockets. If you only want to carry one body and two lenses, you'll have plenty of room!

- 70-200mm ƒ/4L IS
