cheap batteries?

Looking around for new batteries for my rebel XS ... can only seem to find $50-60 batteries. This cant be right cant it?

I have a Battery Pack LP-E5 that is dying on me

Are you tied to Canon brand batteries? If not, Sterlingtek has equivalents for around $15.

Not at all ... I just was not sure of I could use anything else.

Lots of people, myself included, use 3rd party batteries, and generally they perform identically to the Canon brand ones. Sterlingtek in particular has a very good reputation for aftermarket batteries. HERE (external link) is a link to the XS batteries.
