I'm very very impressed by the IQ wide open. I'm going to keep both. I highly recommend the Sigma. It's definitely a step up from the Canon 50 f1.4, but the autofocus is noticeably slower when moving from close distance to infinity or visa versa. When fine-focusing, it's rather fast. I know I'll get it back soon but not soon enough. I second the suggestion of getting the 50L though ; ) α7ii + (batis 25 f2 / zeiss 55 f1,8 / macro 90 f2,8)

I bought a Sigma 50, sending it back because it is defective (soft left side). Going to get it exchanged at B&H. Las Vegas Wedding Photographer: http://www.joeyallenphoto.com

The Sigma looks like the winner *if* you get a good one. I'm not sure I want the headache... or the expense of the L. I'm leaning toward buying a Canon 1.4. Why is it so hard to pick a 50? I guess it's not if you have $1500 to spend :/
