Interesting what a Google search can reveal:

ain`t it though...I read that one, I`m speaking of people who use it not just test it. Not a very favorable review so I`m looking for real world reports from shooters like I said in my question originally, and if you google those...you won`t find many...if any, just like me.

Wow, first time I've seen any lens with half a focal length. ALso I thought it was typed wrong because I'm used to Toknas being UWA lenses that end at in the 20's.

I think more lenses actually have 'half a focal length' but manufacturers just round off the numbers. Who bothers if a lens is 16 or 16.5mm at the widest end?

I know from my experience that the tamon 17-50 is a bit wider @ 17mm than the canon 17-55 @ 17...

maybe everybody who searches the lens ends up with that same review and so nobody wants to take the chance on buying it...I won`t till I get more views on it...`cause that guy doesn`t sound very keen on it.

There are no reviews because there is not really any reason to own the lens. Slow, no IS, no USM, twice as expensive as the 18-125 and 18-135 from Canon, Same price as the 18-200/250/270 IS lenses from everyone else.
