Nice capture, but a little bit out of focus.

these are really snap shotty. image looks soft, and the light is very inconsistant. the first picture, the hair is blown out and looks very unnatural. these are also extream close ups, which have limited application.

next time i suggest you find a more consistant light source, maybe window light is the easiest to use. maybe pick up a copy of Understanding Exposure. it's a great book

edit:
wait a minute... is this a joke?:D looking at all your gears and post counts ...

this is a serious joke of course, resulting from the 70-300mm IS that I now no longer have.

a little less sharp yes. I thought so. Well, I dun PS sharpen it, just adjust it for crop & contrast.

@ banpreso - you might as well suggest that i drag this kid into a studio where I can control everything and snap the kid. Except for manuals, reading books are IMHO, just a waste of time for sure.

I had only 1121 post since 2004, or about 187/year. You already clockmore than 2.5X mine, or about 457/year. Dunno whats the content value like, but I rather not discuss here as it is OT.

Go out, shoot and exprience the joy of being behind the viewfinder, not behind the screen or PS or reading some books.

have fun :)
