About a month ago I was shooting the very small yellow flower of Wood Avens, or Herb Bennet (Geum urbanum), at 1:1 with the MP-E65mm, and it was only when I studied the images on the computer I found a tiny creature in the flower. First, here's a two-image focus stack of the flower - the creature is pinkish red.
Here's a 100% crop to show the creature. I calculate it must be about 0.75mm long. If anyone has a clue what it might be, I'd love to know. It could well be a nymph of something, perhaps one of the plant bugs?
