Pictures taken from the rear only work in my judgment when we also see what the person is looking at, say, a beautiful sunset. The viewer then enters the mind of the subject and it feels more personal. Otherwise, not having the eyes in a person's picture severely drains its impact. Also, become more aware of tilted horizons. They are especially distracting in water shots.
