Aug 12, 2005 13:39 | #17 I wish I could wait for the 5D, but I am planning a photo trip to Yellowstone in Sept. I need a new camera before that. Plus, the 5D is a little out of my price range. California Photographer

I don't understand how people lose a camera, drop a camera, bang it into a concrete wall. I have had a pro grade camera of one sort or the other for 13 years and never has my cameras suffered from any sort of trauma. You have to learn to take care of your equipment. On shooting sports...If you see it happen then you didn't get it.

Have you ever lost your wallet, or maybe your keys? It was the same thing for a camera. My camera bag is carried as often as my wallet. The only way I remember where I set is is by habit only. It's kind of like when you forget to put on your watch and you feel nakid. I carried that camera well over 8000 miles per week. My camera has been in hundreds of hotel rooms, shuttle busses, hotels, and vans. I've climbed three mountains with my camera. It's been set up in the middle creeks with a tripod and remote. Point is, my camera has been around. This was bound to happen sooner or later. California Photographer

Never lost anything, left anything at the airport, side of the road, (okay) on top of the car or whatever. Nada. Nyet. Nothing. defordphoto | Celebrating the art of photography®

I have a Toshiba Laptop and wouldn't trade it for anything and it is almost 3 years old. Great for digital photos and anything else, and I got it at Best Buy on sale with awesome rebates, I ended up paying around $600 with the rebates. They will be having great sales on these things starting around October.
