lookin for a point and shoot with good viewfinder

i do really need a decent viewfinder but would enjoy a relatively small camera. its amazin that they cant figure that out. i mean film rangefinders are roughly the size of the g11 and they have great viewfinders.

I think the issue is just about no one cares about optical VF's in the P&S market. And RF's also had a fixed-size VF, with framelines for "zoom"...digicam VF's still have to zoom with the lens (I think, I haven't used on in a while).

ah really never knew that, thanks, always thought rangefinders were just smaller slr like cameras, i guess in only slrs does the viewfinder reflect what the lens is seeing, as opposed to rangefinders and digital point and shoots.
