EOS utility.

Or if you have lightroom 3, just use that.

What OS are you running? The latest EOS version of utility won't support the 20D (only 30D and newer bodies), and older versions of EOS utility don't support 64-bit OS'es (Windows 7) apparently.

FYI, since what was said here might be ambiguous, Windows 7 also comes in a 32-bit version. Microsoft has been shipping Windows 32 and 64-bit versions widely to consumers since Windows XP (and to server-users before that).

So, if 20D EOS utility doesn't support 64-bit Windows, it's possible it doesn't support your OS even if you're running XP.

FYI...

Update: I'm running an older version of the EOS Utility (Version 2.6) on Windows 7 64 bit. The version of EOS utility that might be tryable from the Canon site is 2.7.3. It can be found at http://www.usa.canon.com …os_50d#DriversAndSoftware (external link) (Pull down the "select OS" list and choose Windows XP to find it). This version supports 20d and certain cameras below, and if my version 2.6 runs on Windows 7 64 bit, this later version 2.7, which is for Windows Vista and XP should also run on Windows 7. Definitely worth trying.
