Finally broke out my macro rig again, for a good looking spider in my backyard, think I have the technique for handheld shooting with manual flash down now.
I shot this with the Canon 100mm macro with just the 36mm Kenko tube, Manfrotto 330B (only one arm used) and a Nikon SB-28DX triggered with Cactus v4 (I hate cables ^^). The flash had a mini softbox (Micnova MQ-B1A) on it. Actually attaches much easier than the Lumiquest Mini SB.
For the second shot I caught a small fly and guided it into it's web. I know... evil, but I was just helping the food chain out a little bit.
