The next generation of artists with serious roots are doing pretty well. John Lee Hooker, Jr who has been grammy nominated played a concert in the park in Seaside California. I shot this with my 20D and Tokina 12-24 lens.

Nice shots, Mike. Looks like you may have used fill flash? Shooting into the sky is tough ... good job.

Yes, the outdoor setting and backlighting is a real learning opportunity at this venue! And I did use fill flash on John Lee Hooker-just the on camera flash. It helped a lot.
