Cleaning Focusing Screen

How do you safely clean the focusing screen. I got a spot on mine and (it doesn't show on the pictures) and I'm not sure how to clean it.

Any ideas and/or cleaning kit suggestions would be appreciated.

Take out the focusing screen, be careful not to touch it other than the edges and use a blower on both sides.

A word of caution,

if you don't need to absolutely clean the SI screen, do not be tempted to do it, as you can easily scratch it or introduce more dust into inaccessible spaces.

First check it's not on the mirror (won't show up in pictures either). It's much easier to blow a spot off the mirror with a puff of air than it is to remove and clean the focus screen.

The best way to safely clean a focus screen is to take it to an authorized service center or camera store with authorized service. My camera store did it for me for free when i purchased something from them otherwise they won't charge very much for that service
