Got really lucky here. very close to being straight off the camera. Had to remove a couple of bugs on her RT arm.

Mike, I love you but that pose is not flattering. Her hand looks way awkward and her nose shadow touches her lip. Ungood on the shadow dude,

Post brought to you by bud light.

Hey everyone. I think this is my first post here, though I've checked out the site for awhile. Here's Alison.

futrcndctr, You did a great job on these. There was something about the first one that made me want to do a small edit to it. Here is the before and after.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

Bel Canto, nice ones and I like edit by David.

Angel I like the 2nd shot but you need to shoot more than the face for atleast the guys. They all the same IMHO. And dark hair need some light.

2nasty4u, the angles on a guy are just not flattering at all.

Also your ambient lighting is too low in the background for my taste, gives the images a gloomy feel imo.

Move the subject into some shade where you can still get a clear shot of what's behind him in the sun and that should get you a nice livelier background and a simple fill flash on the subject will produce some great looking shots. I would back up a bit on these head shots and get some shoulders in there. As for the other wide shots that you have, those aren't really good for printing. You should look at what print crops you have available and what the person might like. Then go from there.

Other than that the subject looks pretty decent, I would certainly recommend he wear a better shirt than just a blue t-shirt but that's my own opinion.

Also, not a fan of the high angles that you are doing here, a higher than level angle is okay and encouraged but it seems you have taken it too high, again just myu opinions here, nothing too worry about. Also keep in mind that I got lit up like a SOB last night so I might be a little cross-eyed this morning... well it's morning for me since I didn't go to sleep until 8 or 9 am this morning... lol.

Thanks ps_n_dslr, I use Paint Shop Pro X2. I first whitened the teeth, did a little sharpening and noise reduction then made a duplicate layer so I could add a little overlay to make the colors pop a bit more. Only took about 1 minute to edit.

Locky, nice job on the edit! Looks great did you do any skin softening? It looks great, or did the dup layer do that?

I like the shots. A little back light may have helped like some people have mentioned.
I think some different poses may have helped but I like the sharpness and looks on most of them! Good job! Maybe more 3/4 shots and add some full length shots. Good work! What lens are you using ? I like the bokeh for the background.

Luckily the pictures were just practice but I will keep the printing crops in mind for the future! I guess the angles and lack of variety comes from my inability to pose body shots well, any advice?

I was using the nifty fifty =D!

Thanks for the advice!!!
