I don't really shoot seniors but was approached on last minute by a good friend whose niece needed photos done and this is what I ended up with. I did get paid for my time and I promised them one photo. C+C always welcome and appreciated.

yowsa.... very nice work here!

Could you share the style of processing you have here? I rather like the looks of your tones, is there a name for this styling?

that first one stands out as a great "mom will want this one" the last one I like the impact in his face but then as you scroll down he's sticking his guy out, that kind of killed it for me. all are very nice shots, IDK about the truck shot, I'm just not into the whole car shot for a senior. Seems a little too cliche... lol. very nicely done, the only thing I would consider is maybe a slight working on the colors and tones in his face. He's got a lot of red splotches all over and maybe some acne leftovers. the uneven toned skin is always a pain in the butt. good luck there! I wouldn't do too much to these, this seems like it might be best with a more traditional styling given the nature of the kid and the surroundings.

Jay, Dave, ManiZ and Bone. Thanks guys, I appreciate the feed back.

As far as lighting goes, I used reflectors and diffusers - big ones - so it's always nice when clients bring "helpers" to hold my gear. This was shot magic hour, 45 minutes before sunset. The client did let me choose the location and I do scout my locations ahead of time and had a good idea of what kind of lighting I would get at a certain time of day.
Processing, I dont know if there is a name for it but I do try to get everything right in camera. Post is done in CS5 in multiple layers and I don't really have a workflow so PP is done visually. I do use actions but always in moderation.

I'm saving up for one of those Skylites. I'm leaning towards the 78"x78" sunfire/white, I like the warmth the sunfire adds to pale skin.

I know the feeling... I usually never get comments on my photos. These are solid shots man. Not the most dynamic of subjects, but you did a superb job with this session. You should be proud, and the family/subject will be ecstatic.

Thanks Aaron! I was actually referring to this thread being dead but I do appreciate the comments. I can never tell if my pictures are so bleh that no one wants to write a book telling me whats wrong or what. Hopefully Ill be able to use these to get a few more clients. I need to watermark them and put them on his FB but I dont even have a "business" name.

Don't let the lack of comments deter you from posting. Most of my comments I get on my photos are "you should have taken up bowling"

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.
