Charro. Do you have something like this ?? if so, please drop me a note and let me see what you have. Im looking into all options. Im thinking this will come in at 15K. Is that where your came in at ??

We rent, which obviously has its pros and cons. No substantial up front cost, but it slowly eats away at us. Ours is under construction though because we are building a cyc wall for green screen work.

This is a recent shot; a few more are on my flickr.

This was set up for headshots - the woman insisted on standing and she was like 6'2" in heels, hence the ladder.

Nice shots Lisa and Rjharris. Great job both for you.

Lisa..got the PP figured out. I like it for shallow depth work. Looks great.

Rj-- what were your settings. Maybe drop the shutter for some more ambient unless you were going for that look... still like it

Thanks, I was at 2.8 and 1/800. I was more or less going for that look on that one. I like that style but am trying to get the background lighter as I go. I kind of shoot and ask them whether or not they like the dark background then play around a bit. Here's one on the same day with a brighter background at 1/250 if I remember right.

I think the darkened background works in this shot. Ordinarily I like a bit more balance, but here it works.

Melissa Senior 2013

A few from the first location of the shoot. The thought was to get something colorful in our normal monotoned winter scenery.

2 I know some may not like the purple hair light (and I am on the fence also) but she made it her FB profile picture immediately upon receiving the social media image files.

I like the gelled hair as well. I also appreciate that you kept it off her lower body. LD

Thanks. My first real go at gelling. I loved the results, but didn't know how they would be taken by unbiased people more in the know than me.

Thank you Sir. My first few weren't as isolated and she looked like she was a vision more than person. A snoot helped but still bled around her in a few of them.

A sneak peek from second location.

That one is a bit warm on my monitor. Her teeth looks yellow along with her eye whites.
