Ringlight baby!

The skin color is different in the first because I had some spill from my pink gel and had to take it out of her skin. Didn't notice the difference until I saw all three images together.

I got this one: http://cgi.ebay.com …agename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT (external link)

Cheaper.....wasn't something I was sure I was going to like so I didn't want to invest big $$ in it.

Looks pretty slick. I would think it would be a hard sell to clients though, as it gives that demonic look in the eyes.

I tried the link twice but never got an e-mail...

It sent two, one had a link for the downloads, the other had a link to some video.

speaking of ring light, I saw a cheap one *very cheap, like $20* somewhere, its basically a tube that you attach a flash to and put this soft tube around the lens and there you go. I was somewhat tempted just for fun, but never did get it.

cool pics Tiffany. :) I want to get a ring flash sometime, im just not sure if I like the forward light/flat light. I wonder how it would look off camera and held at 1:30 oclock or 10:30 oclock from the lens. it would still get the cool catchlights

Did you check your spam folder? Other than that, I don't know. I got the email within a couple of minutes.

I got it very quickly, the first one was in my inbox, the second was in my junk folder. Great info there!

As far as the cheater books, I also made my own. I printed 14 pages on cardstock, front and back, and used a spiral binder at work to put it together with nice covers. I make sure I have the watermarks visible in each of the pictures. I also have a banner on the front page that says many of the pictures are not mine. I felt kinda bad about 'stealing' photos from here, but there is a wealth of information shared here!

Well, it is off camera so I can play with placement. I haven't had much time with it.

felt bad like maybe i left you hanging a little. Something like this shot i attached, in your setting, and i think you knock it out of the park. Pham, tiff, tony and some of the other senior photographers do an exceptional job at posing the kids. I get by and im getting better, but some of these guys and gals are very good at the posing parts. I carry cheater books with me at every session. I find it really helps the kids if they can see what your trying to get them to do. At least thats the feedback they give me. Its working for us.

So im not the only one that bring a cheat sheet? I normally sketch 12 poses per sheet that I would like to try. Its gotten to be a bad habit, it means looking at the sheet way to much during the shoot, and I wonder how unprofessional it makes me look. If I do not use it, there are usually a few poses I kick myself for forgetting later.

Order a denny mfg 2011 backdrop catalog. Almost every single shot that displays the backdrops are with models in them and most of the models are high school seniors and young women . The poses are great and you can show the look to your clients and put you own twist to it.. no brainer and it works.

Thanks for the reminder! I got the 2010 but forgot to check for 2011. I was thinking it was a gold mine when I got it last year. :)

Weird effect in the eyes. I'm not quite sure what to think about it...

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
You're a ghost driving a meat-coated skeleton made from stardust, riding a rock, hurtling through space. Fear Nothing!

Good artists copy ,,GREAT artists steal:p- "tiffcaso"

BTW--

Those metal fabrics are the bomb. I have a fabric outlet store by me that has rolls and rolls of that stuff. Im going to get some more in different colors.. for $10.00 you cant go wrong..makes for great headshot looks,,,plus a ring flash:lol:

Gonna get some of that white fur as well.

I just went to the link and loaded the page. Tapped the screen and at the top of the page it gave the option to open in iBooks. Its now under the PDF folder in iBooks.
