I'm going to do a beach shoot with two daughters (age eight, their Mom, and the grandmother.

I'm wondering how to pose them. Do I simply put the grandmother in the place of the father - for example, for a standard walking along the beach photo, put Mom on one side, grandmother on the other end and kids in the middle? Would that look awkward?

Directing people at the time of the shoot is the hardest thing for me to do, so I'm trying to come up with ideas now. ANY posing ideas would be greatly appreciated. :D Thanks!

This tough and there is no true answer. I am studying posing family books etc. Just have them be natural and fun....don't force them to sit, arm here, chin up, face this way etc.....they will shun away. imo

mom and grandmother sit down, get comfy, close... but not to close. okay kids, its your turn. Jump in, just don't jump in to hard and hurt your mom or grandma. click click
