Hey everyone,
So; I have been using the Lightroom 3 trial to edit through a wedding that I recently shot. I kept telling myself to export my progress, so I don't lose it when the trial ends.
aaaand with my luck, I kept forgetting to export my progress, and the trial has ended. I tried opening the LR3 catalog in my LR2, but it would not open because the LR3 catalog is [of course] "too updated" or something like that.
Is there any way I can get the edited photos that I had in LR3, into LR2 so I can finish working on them?

I put in an order for LR3, but it won't be here until the 30th!
Advice?

Remove and reinstall the LR3 trial? It might get you another 30 days.

Then all you can do is re-import the images (without edits) into LR2 and start over.

I guess I COULD just buy a download-able copy of LR3 - will be able to get it MUCH quicker [hopefully].
Also guess I'll have to give away some print-credit to my client, for the delay.
Oh'well, thanks for your help!

One other option is to see if you can find someone locally with LR3 that would open your catalog and export your edited shots. Don't forget that you will need both the catalog AND the images though!!!

That would also work - but I've just been delaying the inevitable purchase of LR3, so I mine-as-well buy it now...
But I guess I could still go through with your suggestion, just to get back to work NOW rather than THEN.
Thanks!

I thought you already placed the order, but it won't be in until the 30th. If you order online via Adobe's site they will email you the serial number and you can get to work IMMEDIATELY!

If you're on windows then you can create another user account, the trial will reset.

Try 3.2 RC from labs.adobe.com. I don't know whether it applies to the RC, but the proper updates reset the trial each time.

Do this. All you need is the license number to change the trial mode to purchased mode. It's the exact same software, the trial mode isn't disabled in any way.

This is exactly what I did after my trial ended, and since I'm a student I was able to pay the student price of $89.

Maybe you can set your system date a few days/weeks in the past...
