Outsourcing

I was wondering how many people use an outside service for anything in your wedding business. I was talking to a photographer who talked of services that do anything from color correcting, culling, album design, etc. I am sure there are other aspects that are outsourced as well.

Who uses any of these services, and who do you choose to go with?

I am not outsourcing anything right now except my accounting. I really want someone else to do album design but I can't afford to do it yet.

I've outsourced album design before and was very happy with the results. I stopped after investing in software and templates and more importantly to keep the money for myself.

I outsource any extensive retouching. I have my assistant do culling and color correction, which I check. I always do album design myself, but if my time became short i'd outsource that too.

I'm only part time at ~15 weddings/year so it's no issue for me to manage it all myself. If I'd outsource anything, it'd be album design but more for their higher level creative skills, but with Foto Fusion, I can do a pretty good job on my own rather quickly.

I'm heading back from complex, fancy magazine style albums to a really modern take on matted albums, duo albums from QB. It helps show the images without all the distracting guff like background images, lots of artwork, etc. The duo albums can have magazine style pages, or part pages, they look awesome. I had an 18x10" one come back today, white matts with a brown leather cover, it looks amazing.
