... that is photography related? Yes, there are tons of blogs, etc, on the Web, but to be honest with you, I am finding it hard to keep reading some of the drivel that gets posted. I am particularly allergic to the "blogs" and posts that are just thinly disguised self-promotion (like "we'll see you at the workshop", etc, when it's the photographer running the workshop).
I'm looking for some actual content! So far, the only blog that I continue to read on a semi-permanent basis is The Online Photographer
, because the self-promotions are rare and far in-between. It's not perfect and there is much that rubs me the wrong way, but at least it's not just shameless advertising all the time!
I've even stopped reading Joe McNally's blog, because lately it's all about cross-promotion! Talking about the next workshop coming up, or about that wonderful workshop that Scott Kelby is running, or about those wonderful folks at Adobe... ENOUGH! Do they really think we are stupid? Or is the current generation that gullible? Don't they mind having product placement rammed down their throat all the time?
The current crop of photo magazines is not much better (and some much worse). That seems to be the current trend though. Journalism is not what it used to be. Or... am I just getting old and cranky?
What do you guys read online?
