I'm looking at the Avenger C-stands. The ones I'm looking at have 40" center columns and detachable bases. In the specs, they list the minimum/closed length at 4.4', and I'm assuming (but would like confirmation) that this length includes the base still attached. I have a lightstand bag that I really like and, at 48", it's long enough to accommodate my existing stands, but 4.4' would be too long to fit in this bag. I want to be sure I can transport the Avenger C-stands in this bag, and I don't care if I have to detach the base to do it. Can someone confirm that after detaching the base, the length I have to worry about is just the length of the center column (roughly 40"). Thanks.
