Taken with Canon 70-200 2.8IS, natural light
I did some simple edits - exposure/contrast and some skin softening.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, what could I do better?
Thanks!

She looks good....perhaps a little flat though. Maybe boost saturation a tad or increase blacks in levels adjust.

Thanks Bill - my efforts on this photo went toward skin softening and bringing out the eyes. Your response is exactly what I was looking for: some aspects which I may have overlooked.

Might be the upload, but I'm getting artifacts arund the eyes and eyebrows. Also, before I read the brief I could tell the skin had been softened, so possibly it has been overdone a touch?

Nice shot all the same. Good work.

Yes the artifacts are from where I saved the image, to webshots.
which is a mistake. I will upload to a folder on my web host and link directly.

I'll re-edit and post tonight and work on the skin smoothing/softening.

Thanks

Hi -
I increased the saturation and contrast a bit to try to eliminate the 'flatness' of the image.
However, I didn't change the skin smoothing because I didn't make a 'layer' of those edits to easily revert back. I took note on it though and will be more careful on my smoothing in the future.

I also saved in a better 'quality' or so photoshop refers to it. Plus I hosted it at my own domain, a direct link to the image.

Thanks for commenting, everyone's help is appreciated.
