Anyone know what the difference is between the EP-EX15-II and the EP-EX15

Is there a better version of these type of products out there or is this it?
I find the view finder is almost impossible to view when it's lower light since I can't tell if I am in focus or not and the image is super small..
I also wear glasses

I tried asking this a while ago. You can see the thread here: LINK

Also, you sould fix your thread title, you used the "II" twice...

You could try removing the lens elements to see if that improves anything.

unfortunately, you can't change the "actual" title of the thread, only a mod can.

on topic, you're in a different situation than most that ask this question. most have 40D or 50D cameras and ask what the difference would be. the answer to that would be appearance. the EP-EX15 II is not as wide as the original.

for your camera, simplejack, you can only use the EP-EX15 II. the original won't fit unless you shave it down. i tried since i had the original extender left over from my film camera.

^^^that's a good list, but body color, lens, and refurbished or not don't make any difference on whether the extender fits or not.

to make it a bit easier to understand, any body where the EP-EX15 II fits, will also accept the original. It just may not look right.

I just copy/pasted it from one of Canon's web pages.
