I really want to get into off camera flash usage with some light modifiers. I'm having a hard time finding wireless flash triggers in Finland but I stumbled across a pretty cheap set which includes both camera and flash triggers.

What do you think about this set? http://www.aputure.com …obe_speedlight_camera.htm (external link)

I have no experience with wireless stuff at all but I'm thinking of getting a 580 ex2 with some light modifiers and this triggering system. It probably doesn't support ettl, I don't know but it's a cheap set. Do people usually use ettl with wireless strobes? This set costs ~80€, anything better available?

Do you have a 7d, it has wireless ETT-L is a standard function ? Then you can use the 580ex II, 430ex II's as a slave and get full ett-l.

If you don't you could combine a 580exII as the master and use a or several 430exII's or other 580ex II's as slaves. Or you could use the Canon ST-E2 as the master with the flashes as slaves.

For a non ett-l flash trigger the YN RF-602's has a following on POTN. It's also much cheaper than the aputure trig master.

I only have a 500D but I think I'll go some cheaper route like you suggested, thanks. Might buy a softbox and stand at the same time as the trigger.
