I have a 17-40L which I used with my 5DC. I have since parted with that body, and now use 7D.
To get UWA I will need something around 10mm, and I note there are zooms from Canon, Sigma and Tamron which would suit.
The Canon 10-22 is the most expensive, but I was wondering if it is worth the extra over the Sigma or Tamron.
My use would be landscapes, urban and general walk around.
I am considering selling or trading the 17-40L to go towards the cost.
My lineup then would be:
UWA 10-x
24-105L
100-400L
I would be interested to hear comments/suggestions from anyone who has used any of the
UWA lenses.

Canon 24-105 L IS USM,
Canon 400mm L f5.6
Canon 7D, Canon 1.4 TCII
Canon 10-22, Canon 420EX speedlite,

Olympus OMD EM5, 20-40 f2.8 PRO

I also enjoy using my 10-22. Give the wide angle coverage APC sensors need!

I'm another in favour of the Canon 10-22.
It's a great lens.

What a review... Appreciate the effort of putting the 5 most popular UWAs together in one reveiw. But how come the reviewer compared sharpness of the lenses (at wideopen) with different apretures? Also, why not test the lenses in a well lit environment?

Anyway, you should be happy with any of these lenses. Just go with your budget.
