Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM used for $1,250 on craigslist...
is it a good deal? any advice for buying used lens is welcome

That's the same price range on B&S here too.

For buying used, if you're doing in person, make sure you bring a camera and take test shots. Better yet if you can check the images on a laptop or something to be sure.

Buying on the forum? just pray hahaha j/k.
