...well this one wasn't really a wedding, but the bride and groom to be wanted me to take shots of them in their wedding attire before the actual day.

As always...more on my blog (external link)

Looks great. Although in #3 it always looks odd to me to have the bride higher up than the groom, and his pose is really stiff....just my opinion. Nice shots!

Currently shooting with Nikon gear.....don't hate me.

I think they're fine technically but they don't even look like they LIKE each other, much less are getting married. You need some interaction! Especially #1 and #3 where they are close to each other but just standing there, not really posing in anyway.

I am super cool n' stuff.

I agree with auroraskye on this on. The colours are great. PP is well done but I seem to be missing some sweet lovin'. ;)

LIke the visual effects, the tree & the columns and museum entrance, but agree a little more emotional attachment would make them even better. as is usually the case, you probably have more that show the other side to this couple :)

The couple wanted posed portraits to show to their family...I tried to get some loving going but they knew what they wanted. Sort of frustrating...but gotta give the client what they want!

It is very much a cultural thing. They seem to be a lot more reserved. Not to mention these were for their family.

You don't need to take things out of context. I have personally worked with multiple clients from contries much more conservative than the United States and many times they wish to opt for a much more traditional photographic style versus the "let's suck face because we are in love and getting married" style that most here tend to gravitate towards. So yes, it is a cultural thing.

Surely there's a happy medium for the parents.

I mean, this set makes it look like an arranged marriage.

I'm not a big fan of the guy being out of focus in #2.
