...for work on the 22nd thru 27th and I'm looking for some suggestions on areas to photograph. I've been to the area on a few other work trips so I have a general idea of the area but I could use some more suggestions. Flying in/out of San Fran and working about an hour north in Petaluma. Here is my plan so far:

- Sunday my flight should arrive around 12:30. This is my biggest day of open time. Thinking about: quick trip into the city to see lombard, coit tower and anything else along the way. Maybe Alcatraz but thinking about skipping that. Then out to the GG bridge for some pix. Maybe walk across.

- Weeknights after work(around 5ish): Point Reyes National Seashore, Bodega Bay, Pacific Coast Hwy. Maybe Sonoma wine country somewhere but I'm not at all familiar with that area.

Any other suggestions?

Some beautiful dusk/evening scenes from Treasure Island of the Bay Bridge and the SF skyline.

Try the Golden Gate from the Marin Headlands. Nice view with the city in the background.

Thanks for the suggestions. Marin Headlands are now on the agenda as well as lots of time on the pacific coast hwy. Stopping somewhere in Sonoma during the week to check out that area.

So I just got back from my trip. I was amazed by both the Sonoma Coastline along the Pacific Coast Highway and Point Reyes National Seashore. Both locations were really very picturesque and peaceful. I really recommend both places to anyone.

Some pictures are posted on my website(which is currently in progress). http://rrphotos.zenfolio.com/p893265244 (external link)

I didn't see your post, otherwise I'd have given you some pointers since I'm a local
How did you like Petaluma?
Sonoma & Napa are surprisingly beautiful, despite being low-key.
