More progress! Prototype mount arrived and now work on the electronics start in getting the readings etc to register. One step at a time. :)

Not best quality

The mount. Currently available via eBay but not anything other than just a mount. Not planning to post pics with the electronics just yet. autofocus has worked but then got an error so need to test some more.

The proportions remind me of a regular Canon body attached to a 600mm or a 1200mm prime or something.

Makes the lens seem really huge on that camera.

It would be tempting to get one of those with the Sigma 30mm,50mm,85mm primes and maybe the Sigma 17-50 OS.... you got yourself a wedding capable camera right there!

Sony A6000, 16-50PZ, 55-210, 35mm 1.8 OSS
Canon 60D, 30D
Tamron 28-75 2.8, Tamron 17-35, Sigma 50mm 1.4, Canon 85mm 1.8

Be better with the Tamron 17-502.8 is IS/OS is not something I figured out how to get going. Should have some wedding work stuff tonight.

Don't they make the Sigma 17-50 OS/ Tamron 17-50VC in Sony mount which should work with the Sony adapter?

Why would you want to use this on a nex? It makes no sense. Why not use it on a camera where it will properly function and perform?

Yes but all you will get is aperture adjustment. Autofocus and OS are not always compatible. Worse case, I can try it.

Explain to me what part makes no sense, I'll try and clarify for you. Personally, since the switch, I am more happier with the IQ than I was with my Canon bodies even with the limited functionality for now. And if I can get af and aperture adjustments working, I'll be even happier.

Just to be clear, you are saying that a SONY MOUNT Sigma or Tamron lens will not work 100% on the NEX? I'm not talking about a Canon mount Sigma lens with an adapter or something, but rather the Sony mount, which I would think should work ???

Exactly, had no reports come back yet for the operation of IS/OS/VR/OSS support via the Sony mount adaptor (LA-EA1). Autofocus defo will not function only confirmed operation even with the official Sony Alpha mount adaptor is aperture adjustment.

Some sketchy reports about the SSM lenses working for AF in the future but nothing so far.
