Depends on what you like to shoot
If you are a nerd without a life - as I am (I have a BSc in Maths and now do a PhD in CFD) - and prefer inanimate objects, then no.
If you are a person with a life and enjoy portraits (shooting them and looking at them) then quite possibly yes.
...and I shall return to reading my code...
I certainly lack the same educational qualifications to be a nerd that you have ... but I do like photographing light patterns (on or around inanimate objects) rather than annoying my friends who aren't keen to encourage me into portraiture ...
