Yeah, it's not much. A pig barn down the road from me caught fire as I was on my way home from work. Pulled up just behind the fire department. 3 alarm blaze. 700 pigs in the barn, 125 saved. Posted my pictures on facebook, nothing really special as I was staying out of the way and it was quite smoky. This morning a friend of mine asked to use some of my pictures for his work's website. Well he works for the local radio station, which also is a main news website. He picked the pictures (definitely not the best ones) and posted them. No credit or anything, but they are my pictures up there for the public :)

Congrats on the pics!

Serious question- And I want to make it clear that I feel bad for the farmer and loss of animals - DID it smell like a giant BBQ??

Hehehe... that's a constant joke around here, every time a pig barn burns. When I first got there, which was just behind the fire department, it did kinda smell like a BBQ. Mostly that smell you get when the BBQ is just heating up. As soon as the straw/manure on the floor started burning, its very recognizable smell took over. I, at least, did not have a great desire to eat roast pork at the time.
