This really wasn't that great of a night, but tonight is going to even be worse most likely, so I can't complain too much. Set it up around 1130, and these were about 20 frames at 45 seconds apiece from around 1230. Then my battery died, of course. Anyway, it was extremely hot and humid at 84 degrees, and when I picked up my camera from the farm at 0630, it was covered in dew, AND it was still hot and humid at 79 degrees. Considering the hazy conditions, I'm glad I caught a few. This is a crop from the original stacked image. I used my kit lens at 18mm. ISO was at 3200, which didn't help the noise problem at all, and set at f/3.5.

I'm thinking it will be better just before sunrise.
I'm going to give it a go at the beach since I work all night and get off at 5am.
Pics later if I get anything worthy.

They seriously peaked around 3AM - 4AM PST. I was at Rainier capturing a timelapse - literally hundreds of them on the two cameras' FOV.

Up to 2AM it was pretty tame.

When asked if there were too many people taking pictures today, Elliot Erwitt replied, "All you need is a pencil and a piece of paper to write a novel, don't you?"

upon closer review, I did catch something small in one of my shots... not really worth posting though...

I gave up around 5:15am EST, there just wasn't enough to bother. Also, it was getting a bit bright here; too much light pollution hitting the morning due/haze as it was falling, so no hope of last minute before sunrise pics.

Glad someone got to enjoy the show! :)

Funny thing is that even though we got rained out, and I didn't get a chance to try again until just a week ago, I still saw several, including a fireball complete with vapor trail. Should have timelaped then, I suppose. Oh well, there are still the Leonids to look forward to.
