If the ISS might have been visible from the south east of England around midnight last night?

It turned out to be VERY clear and I was sitting out watching for meteors (not to shoot, just to watch), and I saw a light that was just like a star, but it was moving steadily across the sky.

I'm sure it was not a meteor as I think it was just moving too slow for that (did see a few though...pretty thrilled about that!), so I was just wondering if the station might have been it. Forgive my lack of knowledge...I don't even know if the ISS ever passes over the UK! lol

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for that Rob...A satellite never even crossed my mind...now that makes much more sense! I knew it wasn't a meteor because as I say, I'd been sitting and watching for those for a while, and a few had made an appearance.

Again, thanks for replying. :-)

I saw a couple of slower movers last night as well. I just assumed they were air craft at high altitude. I suppose it's possible these may also have been saellites.
