Hey guys im really thinking about swapping my Canon 10-22mm for the new sigma 8-16mm...
Not alot of cost difference, and i have the 15-85mm for the extra reach... so im not really losing out on the telephoto side?
Any advice???
Thanks

That is true for normal panel filters, but cokin's X-pros will work. MNUplander wrote in post #10715558 Nope, it has a bulbous front element and no front threads. They made a new system for the Nikon 14-24mm which would work, but doesn't have an adapter for the 8-16 (not a big problem). But their 4x6 setup probably won't fit. My Gear List

But for me this lens is used occasionally, and more of a novelty. But I am very happy with my Sigma, and I think the improved technology in the new lenses should prove to be good, and 8mm would be really fun!! Sony A6000, 16-50PZ, 55-210, 35mm 1.8 OSS

I wouldn't swap the 10-22 though, unless you really feel that you're missing out on the ultra-ultra-wide end. Even then, consider some stitching / 3 x 2 panoramas or buy a cheap Samyang fish eye to add to it and stretch out the shot with DxO. Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!
