Autofocus on lenses wider than 50 is very nice to have.
It's still an interesting looking lens.

LensTip.com: There are rumors, that the next lens released will be 35mm f/1.2 or 35 mm f/1.4. Could you tell us about it?

I love my 35L. Making it 1.2 would be great I don't miss 1.2 on my 35L. I rather have a good 1.4 lens then a average 1.2 lens..

It was always supposed to be a f/1.4 Gear: Canon 5D Mk II | Olympus 21/3.5 | Zeiss Distagon 35/2 | Sigma 50/1.4 ASPH | Samyang 85/1.4 ASPH | Canon 100/2.8 L Macro

Can it be better then the 35L? I don't think so, but it'll be cheaper! Look at the Samyang 14mm and 85mm. I'm not seeing info on it. It's automatic for at least Pentax and maybe(?) Nikon. Canon has only electronic aperture control, so we don't get auto-aperture.
