Is that kit or just body? Cause Adorama has had bodies in that range for quite some time.

bw!

I am statisfy with 18MP, good enough for me, my computer screen only shows 1/15 - 1/20 of 5184x3456 on 100% view.
Do wait for the 7D price to drop after new model come out, it is more powerful than t2i.

What do megapixels have to do with its lifespan?

I chose the 50D over the 7D because it was 600 bucks cheaper. Much better bang/buck imho. I just don't have the money to drop on a body that expensive. I'd rather save up some more for the rumored 35 1.8 lens.

increase of MP and addon fucntions on new models are more than what I need, so I "will" stick with 7d after price drop, I think this apply to most the DSLR users as well, so a 7d will be going around for a long while before been pushed out of the user market.

The "last for ten years" is not lifespan, it is the consumer market, how many people still use a 6mp rebel DSLR? it came out in 2003, but barely see them around now.

I don't think we'll see 7D's around in 10 years... :)

Maybe a 7D mk 4.

I think a year 2020 Digital Rebel WILL easily beat 2010 Canon 7D, wanna bet? ;)
Easy win.
Here's a more challenging bet: 2010 7D Vs. 2020 Point-n-shoot or 4/3
