Has anybody out there encountered this problem? It may be a simple setting i need changed...

When my 580EX is mounted on the Flex TT5 for an extended period of time it will go into sleep mode. That's fine and i do want it to do that.

The problem is it does not wake again. Either from pressing the test button on the Flex TT1 or half pressing the shutter release or full pressing the shutter release.

Any ideas?

Try Custom Function #14 on the 580EX Speedlite and turn it on by setting it to "0"

Thank you for the help, but it's more an issue of the Speedlight not waking after going to sleep...

have you run the pocket wizzard utility and set the way it wakes up. That may be what you need to do. you may also want to upgrade to the latest firmware 5.15 i believe.

hope this helps.

I got tired of trying to fig out what was going on with the settings and did a reset of the units. I find as long as i don't change the channels, i don't have a problem with them turning on after they sleep.
