Is this causes by the lens hood?

This is almost unbelievable but since near a month with my 5DMKII today was the first day I went out with it to grab some pictures (somebody please kick me, I deserve it LOL). While this is my second 5DMKII, I sold the first one with very very short use, actually one corporate job as far as I remember, and also never went out with it (yeah I deserve another kick). So, that said this is my first time and I notice this blackness at the corners, it was taken wide open with the 24-105L. I put on a filter over the clear filter (don't ask, I just did) maybe thats the border shown here or was it the lens hood? (the images is cropped so I can upload it, but the same appears at the four corners).

FYI This only appeared at this pic, I took over 75 and at none of them I see this. And this was the only pice Wide.

If this is at 24mm, I would say it could be the filter. Are you using a thin, or low-profile filter made for wide angle lenses...?? I don't believe the lens hood would get in the way...

Thats my guess; The filter, actually as I said there was two filters on, this is the Tiffen model.

Most wide angle lenses will vignette like that when two filters are stacked on it. Why did you need to stack two filters on the lens?

The right answer might be "stupidity", I didn't want to take off the clear one cause its was kind of windy today, I also never shot anything at 24mm, not that I remember and for sure never with two filters!

On an old fd 24mm, I actually managed to include the filter frame in my shots. However, according to reviews your lens will vignette at the wide angle end and is especially noticeable wide open on FF cameras.

the 24-105 does vignette on FF cameras it happens some times on my 5d
