Caught this one in the field next to the shop after it was mowed. I think it maybe a juvenile but can't seem to find a match in my limited resources...any help?

lhoy Senior Member More info | Sep 08, 2010 21:34 | #4 It is a juvenile Swainson's Hawk. Rough-leggeds only winter in Colorado. Swainson's regularly feed on the ground and even roost on the ground in migration. They love to hunt open fields, particularly after they have been mowed.
