Firmware upgrades affecting Canon Service AF adjustments

I have read statements that firmware upgrades have affected already AF adjusted bodies (adjustments made by Canon Service). Which means all the work has to be done all over again.
....I can't believe this is true :confused:

Can anyone confirm if this is the case, or not?
