I don't normally post much around this site as I don't think my work is really up to the same level as everyone else here. However, I had a really good mini-shoot today with a family and thought I would share some of them.
Feedback and C&C are much appreciated.

Great pics! In my opinion I think the cropping is a little too tight

Gorgeous family. I agree with photobug5880 about the cropping being a bit tight. First shot looks as thought the focus is only on the mum, the dad and bubs are a bit soft. Third shot is great but could do with a bit more space around them. Last shot is lovely but the mums legs are a bit distracting. Thanks for sharing :)

Hi, I do see where you could have allowed a little more room in each shot. Though I do like the feel of all of these, they all look like they had a great time and enjoyed the shoot. I actually like the last shot the best, maybe you could add more of Mom's legs and see if their not so distracting.
I don't usually give critique because I have sooo much to learn myself, but I've been told critiqueing others work is in that learning process.
I like how you edited the second shot, is that just a desaturation technique? Could you share?

I like them all, especially the last one. I didn't actually notice the mum's legs until someone pointed them out. I would love to be able to take photos as good as these!

I have been shooting a lot of sports, so I think "shoot tight, crop tighter" is running over into my portrait work. Thanks for the comments.

Ill try to sharpen up the first shot and give some more space on the few you mentioned.

Its a modified lightroom preset. I use the LR preset and then adjust the exposure to fit the shot.

Brandy :D I'm not claiming to be an awesome photographer, so there's no need to tell me I'm not one, but I am claiming to be a new photographer who's learning and trying to be the best I can be at it ;) My recently new website, which is temporary until I can afford a real one!~ www.free2bemephotography.weebly.com (external link) ~ Currently using a Canon Rebel T1i EOS 500D

Nice work, I'm sure they will be happy with them. Keep posting as that is the best way to learn. Might try bringing a reflector along and see if you can brighten up the eyes a bit. And it does appear you need to use a smaller f-stop to increase the dof.

Keep up the good work.
