Two years ago you'd been lucky to get a 64GB for that price.
Give it two years and you'll be paying under $100 for it...

I've been using PNY Attache thumb drives for the past two years-I have a 16GB from nearly two years ago that sold for $129, you can get 'em dirt cheap now.

I prefer using those with the retractable USB plug, like the Sandisk Cruzer. Most of the others have little caps, that easily get lost.

i need a flash drive, anyone can recommend me one, or does it even matter what brand?

I really prefer the form-factor of some of the Lexar models. Other brands, the drive remains on your key-ring and you have keys dangling from your computer. With Lexar, the drive separates from the holder - the holder stays on your key-ring and the drive is completely clear - just makes for a nicer setup.

I especially like the Lexar 'Firefly' series - I own a 16GB.

The beginner clicks the shutter and says "Let's see what I got." ... The experienced photographer thinks "How can I capture what I see?"

Whatever you look at do take note of the read/write speeds, looking at replacing my aging 2gb and 4gb drives at the moment due to capacity issues and am being frustrated by all the mainstream drives having low write speeds.

Mainstream drives will generally advertise 15mb/s read and only 5mb/sec write, if you're doing a lot of writing then it does make a difference.

Patriot do a range of "quad link" MLC drives (external link), using the cheaper multiple MLC (multi level cell) chips on drive instead of the more expensive, but quicker, SLC (single level cell) chips. Actual internals are still being discussed on their forums, but users are getting 15mb/s+ writes on most systems, and they're not a massive amount more in terms of cost.

Supertalent have a short (9 page) whitepaper here on MLC vs SLC (external link) if your interested.

So check the manufacturers stated speeds first, then let Google guide you to some reviews, a few mins now means less frustration later.

I also have like the mirco SD card reader drives, as then you can switch the size out by replacing the card and get a really small drive.
