Looks like a good trip you had. As for photography a lot of them are out of focus and a bunch of the horizons are off. A few of them could be nice with some post processing.

Some interesting pictures of Delhi, not sure that they are photographically good enough to warrant so many though.

I am prepared to bet you that it will be ready for the Commonwealth Games, They may not get every little thing done, but my guess is that no city ever does, but do not underestimate India's ability to do the impossible.

BTW That is not the presidential palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan) it is one of the Secretariat Building (North & South Blocks) where Government departments are located.

Your typical Old Delhi street is typical of the Chandni Chowk & Jama Masjid areas but not Old Delhi in general which has some very pleasant and affluent areas.
