Does anyone use these two lenses? If so how do they perform? I am mildly interested in them or a macro lens but was wondering if either of these are worth the money. Thanks!

First thing to know is at wide FL's, there are no lenses that come close to the L lenses.

The 28/1.8 is probably the best overall non-L less than 50mm, but it's still not spectacular by any stretch. The 20/2.8 gets a less than glowing review at Digital Picture, which is worrying considering how pro-Canon the author is.

If Sigma ever updates its wide primes, they'll probably be the ones to get.

The only issue I have with my 28 1.8 is the amount of CA. It's easily corrected though, which is why it's still one of my very favorite pieces of glass. I've never used the 20.

If you must know...

The 20 has abysmal corner performance. It's not that sharp at all really.

The 28 is a pretty nice lens. Odd focal length though.
