It's been hit and miss all summer trying to photgraph this remarkable bird.:( Seems like there is a feeding frenzy lately and I've taken hundreds of photos over the weekend. I thought I'd share two. The EXIF should be attached but in case it is missing:
1D MK IV
1st photo--1/1250 at f5.6 ISO 250. 300mm f4L with 1.4x at a distance of 3.8 meters
2nd photo--1/800 at f5.6 ISO 800. 300 mmf4L with 1.4 x at a distance of 3.8 meters

Love that first shot with the hummer and the wasp together, wings spread. Very nice! Beautiful colors on this bird, you caught a nice look in the 2nd one.
