I was wondering how to calculate exposure in manual mode? I know it clocks in at 7 different speeds of 1/64 - 1/1. But what does that mean in terms of my camera settings?

This is my first OCF (have it with the RF-602 receiver kit) and it seems like it'll do what I need. I'm just a little confused as to how I should adjust exposure. Are those speeds synonymous with the shutter speed?...

1/1= full power
1/2 power, 1/4 power, 1/64 power...etc

You can measure how much power to use by chimping (guessing) or using a light meter. I'm sure someone else can add a more in depth explanation.

Those values are the output power.. i.e. 1/1 = full power. 1/64 is "one sixty foruth" power.

You can use the guide number of the flash to caluclate the correct exposure:

Also remember shutter speed does not affect flash exposure. Just make sure you're at or below sync speed.

I personally use a flash meter. I set up my lights, walk to where my subject will be, hold up the meter, trigger the flash, and the meter tells me my exposure settings. I use a Sekonic L308s which is about $150 used.

I don't have the budget for an exposure meter. I'll check that article out but what is sync speed?
