When I turn the camera on, the lens motor cranks a couple of times, a "lens" error pops up, and then the camera turns off. I guess I was one of the lucky ones to receive a defective camera. Are Canon cameras often defective? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not too keen on Canon cameras so far.

These are the type of photos I was hoping to shoot with the new camera. This was taken with an archaic digital camera. Man, I really want to play with this G6! I've been getting more print requests and could only offer 192 DPI with my old camera.
