Just wanted to throw this one out there, for those who did not know. Canon has the 5d MarkII on the list and are selling the refurb to you for a little over $1600. I just talked with them a couple of days ago.

So if you have a old 10D with a error99 you can upgrade to the 5dMarkII for 1600 which is a lot cheaper then they are going for used right now and you are getting a short warranty with it as well.

Just thought I would put it out there.

Dave

Pretty good deal. Rumors are that Canon will be announcing the 5D Mark III, so you may see prices drop even further.

you can buy broken on ebay..........they were offering 40d for $500+......50d for $720.....and the markII I already told you.

Again my prices were not exact they should be with in $20 just dont have my notes in front of me.

The trade up was good for any EOS is what they told me.

40D - $559.20
50D - $719.20
7D - $1119.20
5D MkII - $1679.20

You can trade in ANY Canon Digital product. DSLR's OR point and shoot!!!! As long as it is broken and not under warranty.

7D price is goooooood. I'm guessing from all the warranty returns for AF? >=)
I'm going to have to pick one of those 7D's up in a few weeks.
I have a dead Rebel and a slightly broken G6!

Unfortunately broken DSLRs on ebay are not as dirt cheap as broken P&Ss...usually go for like $100+ or more...?

I think I heard it P&S can only get you up to 50D? i.e., no 7D or 5D2? Not 100% sure on that though.

5D3 and a few lens
es.
