Canon Loyalty Program

Another member posted on the other CLP thread that he got the same story:

as of Nov 1st, the 5D II is no longer offered through CLP.

That was me . I spoke with 2 reps and they both said the 5D MKII is no longer being offered through CLP. I had the last rep clarify if they were just out of stock or if they have been discontinued. He said that they were discontinued.

Any opinions over if it will be available later on when the deal isn't as killer as it was now?

Also, after 3 tries, no recycling label has been received in my email. I guess they will have to mail it to me.

Maybe too much demand? The CLP has been getting a ton of attention online in all the forums. Give it a week or two, maybe they may change their minds again. Last time they pulled the 7D and 5DII a week or two later they offered both these models again.

Some mentioned in a different thread their system for emailing out the return label was broken so Canon is snail mailing out the label.

Is 7d available? I had the funds but had problems on ebay (person broke the laptop I sold them and ebay is letting them get a refund and mail it back) and im low on funds, but want to snag one at 1100+tax before they go bye bye.

The demand for the 7d doesn't appear to have been nearly as high as for the 5d2. The 7d has only been OOS for a few days over the last month, whereas the 5d2 has been almost constantly OOS.

"removed from program" is different from OOS

about a month ago, wasn't the 5D2 "removed from program" for like a week or less? could be a repeat...

there would have been no shame in that--$200-$300 a pop in profit is what it is. I got rid of my first 5d2 because I wasn't happy with the condition and feared the return/exchange process. My second 5d2 was stunning
